Dear Ms. Gregory is a series of letters from my grandmother's (Anja) students that she taught over twenty-five years at St Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a religion teacher and drama teacher for the high school and taught over three thousand or more students. Five years before retirement, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided not to tell her students. A few weeks before she died, I reached out to former teachers and friends Diana Larson and Kimberly Walker to help coordinate letters from her former students and colleagues so she would have an opportunity to not feel so alone during the pandemic and to share how much of an impact she made on her community. These letters were read to her a few days before she died.
